Meet Jen
I know what it’s like to live under constant pressure: where stress isn’t just an occasional challenge, but the norm. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in fast-paced, high-demand environments across finance, entertainment, and tech. I understand what it feels like to hold it all together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected on the inside.
Over time, that pressure can start to seep into everything, your relationships, your ability to slow down, and the way you talk to yourself. The drive to do more, be more, or keep up can quietly turn into self-doubt, perfectionism, or burnout. And eventually, what once felt like ambition starts to feel like survival.
For a long time, I thought that was just how life worked - that stress and overthinking were part of being a “high-functioning” person. But I’ve learned it doesn’t have to be that way.
My own experiences navigating complicated family dynamics, high-pressure careers, and personal growth have shown me the power of self-reflection, connection, and support. I became a therapist to offer others what I’ve found invaluable: a space to pause, explore, and create a different way of living.
How I Work
My approach is collaborative and pragmatic. In each session, you can expect a balance of directness and compassion. I’ll push you to look deeper, while always bringing in warmth and a bit of humor.
Here are some of the ways I approach therapy:
Attachment & Relational-Oriented
The way we show up in relationships often comes from old patterns: how we learned to trust, protect ourselves, or get close to others.
In therapy, the relationship we build becomes a place to notice those patterns in real time and experiment with something new. That might mean practicing being more open, setting clearer boundaries, or finding language for feelings that have been hard to share. The goal is for you to carry those shifts into your relationships outside of therapy, so connection feels less complicated and more authentic.
Psychodynamic
Our past experiences shape the patterns we carry into the present, often without us realizing it. Together, we’ll explore where those patterns come from, so you can see them more clearly and start to shift what’s no longer serving you. It’s about creating lasting change through understanding, not just quick fixes.
Solutions-Focused
Sometimes therapy calls for practical steps, in addition to reflection. When it feels right, we’ll focus on what’s working, clarify your goals, and build tools you can use right away. This keeps our work grounded and forward-moving, while still leaving space for deeper exploration.
Let’s Chat
I know how important it is to feel a real connection with your therapist. If you’re curious about working together, I’d love to hear what’s been coming up for you and see how I can help.
The patterns we’ve outgrown often become most noticeable right before we’re ready to let them go.
And that tension? It’s an invitation to do things differently.
